Fall Lessons

Hudson wanted to take skating lessons again this year, Maira wanted to try dance, and Connor decided to continue with his karate lessons.  It just so happened that their lessons were all on the very same night, which was nice in some ways but it also made for a very busy and hectic Wednesday night!

Yes, that's me dancing beside Maira.  For parents night, the kids were able to invite a parent out onto the dance floor to learn a routine alongside the kids.  Even though it looks like it in the pictures, I wasn't the only mom out there, I swear.

Howie and Connor

Howie, our schnoodle, sleeps in Connor's bed every night.  It's Connor's job to feed Howie every day and play with him too.

That's Connor's hand in the upper corner holding out a treat to make Howie stand up.  Howie loves doing tricks for a treat.

Camping at Elk Island

With Jess' busy work schedule and my broken ankle, we didn't get to do any camping as a family this summer.  So, with September being quieter for Jess and with me able to walk again, we headed out to Elk Island a couple of weekends in September to do some quick camping trips.

We didn't see any elk but we saw dozens and dozens of bison.  The kids decided we should rename the park as Bison Island.
