She's one and a half now. She's less likely to chew things she's not supposed to or pee in excitement when anyone walks in the door. She loves to wrestle with Hudson and do zooms in the backyard. Her very favourite thing in the world is racing around the off-leash park chasing other dogs.

And it's an especially good day at the dog park when her BFF Winnie is there, a slightly heavier, slightly paler but otherwise identical chocolate labradoodle. They play happily together for hours.

Saying Goodbye to Grandma Cathie

Jess's grandmother, Catherine Hudson, passed away after a stroke, at the age of 91 in July. Maira was on a Girl Guides trip in the Maritimes and Shae was working but we brought Connor and Hudson with us to her funeral in Cardston.

Welcoming Grammy and Grandpa Home

At the end of June, Grammy and Grandpa got home from their mission in the Philippines so we drove to the Calgary airport to welcome them home.

Connor's 15th Birthday

For Connor's birthday, he invited his friends Mark and Ethan over to play some X-box and then go play a couple hours of virtual reality games at Ctrl V. For his cake, I went with a DnD theme and made a chocolate D20 die. Turned out pretty good even if I did cheat and make it a sphere without any facets. It was still yummy. His gifts were all mostly DnD themed as well.

Hudson's First Summer Camp

Hudson and three of his school friends got to spend the first week of summer together at Camp Impeesa, a Scouts Canada camp in southern Alberta. The camp leaders posted tons of photos online for parents so here are some of the photos they shared of Hudson's camp adventures:
